Relationships

This is what we're learning about this week. It's been good, and most of it I already knew, but there has also been new stuff as well.

If there's one thing that has stood out more than the rest it's the six principles that Paul gave that you need to do before dating, specifically the first one.

Give up your rights to sex and marriage.

The idea behind this is that you need to find your satisfaction in God. If you're not satisfied when you're single, then you're not going to be satisfied in a relationship. Please pray for me in this area! I haven't been satisfied with being single since my first crush in the second grade. (Her name was Stephanie.)

God is certainly working with me in this area, but I'm not there yet.

(As a writing assignment this week we were asked to write down the things we wanted our future spouse to be. I wrote: tangible.) :-p
